Our Founders Story
Back in 2013, I was jobless and honestly, feeling pretty low. Although, I had been a Recruiter for 8 years by this point, I had hit a ceiling. But, then, I stumbled on this whole visualization and law of attraction thing. I thought, “Why not?” So, I jotted down my dream job on a piece of paper, said a prayer and started visualizing myself as a Remote Corporate Recruiter, and would you believe it? Six months later, I landed my first Corporate gig with Xerox Business Services.
By 2015, I was working from my couch, which was cool because it meant I could pack up and head to Austin, Texas. Before this, I was helping out different clients as an agency recruiter-onsite. What I really wanted, though, was to dive into the corporate world. Didn’t have a degree, didn’t know the first thing about the corporate scene, but I was determined.
Fast-forward a bit, and I found myself at Navient Corporation in 2016, reshuffling a massive call center team. After restaffing an entire call center of customer service agenct, collection/billing agents- single handedly, I might add- it was then I knew I had a signifigant purpose. That was quite a ride! Next thing, I’m mingling with the techies at Netspend Corporation, matching roles for software developers, UX designers, project managers and data egineers. I loved it!
From there, it was a whirlwind of opportunities with big names like Grainger, Visa, VisionWorks, Varsity Brands- it blew my mind that I could make such a huge impact in people’s lives. If there’s one thing I learned, it’s this: know your goal, get ready for it, chase it down, and the universe might just surprise you.
